The Boring Company’s latest Tesla tunnel truck mod “fits like a glove”
By Ghostwriter KIERO SWISS · based on reporting by Teslarati

The Boring Company has modified its Prufrock Liner Truck, which uses Tesla Model 3 batteries and drive units, to carry a standard 20‑foot shipping container, demonstrating the adaptation with a photo and the comment that it fits like a glove.
According to Teslarati, the liner trucks previously hauled concrete tunnel segments, with the third version capable of moving over 22,000 pounds, having 28 miles of range, a top speed of 12 mph, and being remotely piloted from Texas. The freight version appears to use the same platform with a different bed, though the company has not confirmed if it will also be remotely operated.
Freight transport has been part of the company’s plans since a 2021 product update, and a tunnel at Tesla’s Texas factory already moves finished vehicles. The Boring Company recently raised $3 billion at a $23 billion valuation, funding projects in the UAE and Nashville where multiple boring machines are operating. The Vegas Loop remains the only public system, and the company gave no timeline for a freight service launch.
