Elon Musk’s proposed SpaceX stock giveaway would go into ‘Trump Accounts’

According to The Verge, President Donald Trump announced that Elon Musk's proposed SpaceX stock giveaway for children will be distributed through Trump Accounts. Musk had earlier stated he would give one SpaceX share to every child in America sometime next year and thanked Brad Gerstner for helping enable the plan, which Trump confirmed on Truth Social.

Based on Friday's stock valuation, 72 million shares would be worth approximately $10.5 billion according to CNBC. Musk indicated this would be the first of many such distributions. Additional contributors to Trump Accounts include Michael and Susan Dell, Ray and Barbara Dalio, Gerstner, and SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell.

The White House reported in October that after automatically enrolling around 60 million children, over 70 million accounts had been created.
