SpaceX began launching Starlink satellites in 2019. As of June 2026 the network had about 10,400 satellites in low Earth orbit — roughly 75% of all active manoeuvrable satellites — and more than 12 million subscribers in around 160 countries and territories. Airlines use it for in-flight internet, and its military sibling Starshield serves government customers. By the end of 2025 Starlink was SpaceX's largest business, with US$11.4 billion in revenue.
